I chose this website because this had to do with immigration. Jhumpa immigrated from india, this website restricted the amount of immigrants allowed to america. In “A Temporary Matter” both Shukumar and Shobha are immigrants. The story focuses on their heritage and culture for a little bit. The article focuses on the downside of immigration. To the contrary there are many upsides as well. One of them is diversity in society. Diversity makes the gene pool different and makes more people unique.
