A Short Summary Of Dovie's Case

PER REPORTER: William said Dovie is a drug addict and is doing prescription pain pills such as Norco and Percocet as well as crystal meth. He said she gets away with doing the prescription pills because she goes to see Dr. Barkley at the Laurel Pain Management Clinic to gets prescriptions. However, he said he has requested for DHS to do a hair follicle test on both him and Dovie to show them she is a drug addict and he is trying to do what he can to protect the children. He said he is requesting for a hair follicle test to be done because Dovie could just go to a store and buy fake urine or something to clean her system. He said this is not his first time reporting the following situation to DHS but he said nothing was done and when he called the follow up …show more content…
He also mentioned that he is concerned about the children riding in the car with their while having a suspended Louisiana driver’s license and no insurance. He said if Dovie is pulled over with their children in the car and taken to jail the children will be placed in DHS’s custody because he works out of town. He also said Dovie is under the influence around the children twenty four seven and he is pretty sure they have been harmed while being around her while under the influence. He also said their daughter has seen Dovie with four different men and the apple does not fall far from the tree. He mentioned that Dovie has had more children with different men and had two miscarriages, two abortions, and signed her son (Isaac) over to someone else. He also mentioned that the reason Dovie has miscarriages with her children has a lot to do with her drugs use. He said Dovie is living with her boyfriend (Mike) and he also does drugs such as crack and heroin around the children.
