Nursing is the care of the sick. It’s a profession in which knowledge is applied to address an illness, resolve problems and maintain health. There are four interrelated concept that when put in harmony demonstrate the importance of nursing and consist a standard of evaluation of its effectiveness. The person, environment, health and nursing are interrelated and reflects the value and beliefs that nurses used to provide care and satisfy the patient. This philosophy is based the consideration of a person values’ and belief as the consideration of that person in an environment favorable for the maintenance of a holistic balance and patient’s satisfaction. Nursing care is an evolving sector where constant research findings help put in place innovations that better the outcome of patient and maintain their security when receiving care. The vision of nursing as an environment where research plays a center role serves the purpose of improving its quality and delivery to the patient. To do so, nursing care takes place where nurses are knowledgeable of their patient, disease processes and the skills needed to address the patient concern. This ensures that care takes place in an atmosphere that satisfies the patient’s needs, concerns and values. An ideal environment is not only the one where the patient is fully satisfied however, is the one where the nurse is pleased with her role, the conditions of her work and the compensation she receives for it. The connection in doing so is the use of personal beliefs and values to care for someone well-being. The belief of people as holistic human being and the value of mutual respect are the agents that facilitate a nurse-patient relationship and gives the patient the sentiment of being an asset of the caring team. To be specific, considering a person, their religion, values and belief is what when not address damage their experience and deteriorate the profession of nursing. Being a profession, nursing has a code of ethics as discussed in block one and the veneration of it is what should constitute the belief of all nurses. All nurses have the responsibility of adopting the value of maintaining someone’s dignity by listening, answering questions, providing emotional comfort and physical care in a safe environment. To provide adequate nursing, nurses use a holistic approach to address a whole person in an environment where innovations and resources are necessary to make the respect of a person value and belief as the core of our values and belief.
