Media makes part of everybody’s daily life. Entertain, communicate and inform are some of the many purposes of its used. I tracked my media use throughout my day and I noticed that I spend most of the day using my phone and my computer. From the moment, I woke up I took my phone to turn off the alarm, then voluntarily as I was having breakfast I started going through my applications. For example, WhatsApp and Telegram to check any messages, Snapchat to send a picture to my streaks and Hotmail to check for relevant mail and office updates. As the day went by I did other activities voluntarily with my phone, for instance, in the morning while I was driving to college I used iTunes for my music. During the time I had between school and my job, I performed the most involuntary actions. For example, as I was watching a show on Hulu, there were various commercials play throughout the program. Between those commercial, I used my phone to go on Instagram and look at pictures, since I'm used to doing it most of the time, now these actions became a habit. It is a very involuntary action because there were occasions where I unlocked my phone and opened Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram or even WhatsApp and then I just stared at it without doing nothing. I never meant to go to the applications but, I just needed to perform the action of unlocking my phone and opening an app while in commercials. There were other cases where commercials caught my attention and lead me to other actions. To put it in another way, while watching an Old Navy new season clothing commercial, the clothes design and colors caught my attention and because of it later in the day, it made me felt a desired to shop for new summer …show more content…
At night I took some time to watched my favorite blogger Logan Paul through his Youtube channel. Watching his videos gives me energy and excitement since he is a comedian and an entertainer. His regular blogs are crazy and his actions have a lot of effect for my day's mood. I normally watch his videos around 5 pm because that when he uploads them, but the day that I tracked my media used I watched it at night, and even though I was tired, while I watched his blog I didn't felt tired, instead it woke me up and gave me more time to involuntarily watch more videos of other People on YouTube. There is another Youtube blogger that I like to watch his name is Johannes R. Bartl and his videos are more of motivation and exercise. That day he posted a video about a new project that he had in mind and its call "Make a Move" his intention with that is to motivate the society to live a healthier style of living with exercise, and watching him motivates me to keep going to the gym as often as I can. Media is all the time a used for me and it affects my emotions, my behavior and it always there to inform me, entertain me and especially it gives me an easy access to communicate with friends and
