The punishment system for breaking laws would be more focused on rehabilitation than being locked up. If someone was found with illicit drugs on them and was addicted to every drug known to mankind, they’d be better off in rehab than a cell. The laws would be mostly the same as they are now, ‘cause murder and theft isn’t cool.
Getting a job would still be up to the individual, though getting the one you’d like wouldn’t be as difficult, since education would preferably be free, or at least close to free. A lot of other modern countries have free eductaion. Housing would also be similar to what currently exists. Now that I think about it, almost everything in this hypothetical society is the same as our current one. I mean, humans have been here for thousands of years, we’re bound to get something right. In this case, it’s how developed societies function.
Apart from the jail and education thing, the only part I would change about the ideal society and ours is the attitude of the people in it. That’s also an issue in of itself, though.
