The Olympic Games staged a platform on which they delivered these national beliefs to the world through their interpretation of Olympic origins, goal of national restoration, and militaristic outlooks.
Olympic Origins In 1932 the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the Olympic Games to Berlin, Germany; this was immediately before the Nazi Regime took power under the authoritative leadership of Adolph Hitler in 1933 (Pitsula, 2004, p. 2). This shift in power led to a shift in National outlook as well as a re-evaluation of the country’s foundation for hosting the Olympic Games. Upon the allocation of this new government, the IOC negotiated new standards for the host country; especially when the Nazis began marginalizing and excluding the Jewish people from sports (Murray, 1992, p. 59). One of
