The theme that I chose was that in life, we should not hold on to someone that does not provide us with the happiness we required. In the story, we see Yolanda being married to Frank. Frank was a person who would not only disrespect Yolanda, but was definitely a very jealous guy. In addition to that, the audience can perceive Frank being over-protective during the story, Frank would stop Yolanda from learning new things and hold on to her if she was his property. Also the reader can perceive and assume Yolanda was not happy with their relationship which would cause differences between them.…

SOC: Three things of my choice that I can carry with me to a deserted island I hav e been exiled to would be: a knife, matches, and sleeping bag. I would take a knife because it is a great tool to have. With a knife, you can kill animals, sharpen sticks for spears and defend yourself from whatever you need to keep you safe. With matches, I would be able to start fires. I would need a fire for warmth and to cook the animals I would kill with my knife.…

Throughout life, materialistic objects will come and go, holding little to no value as time passes on; although true, memories will never fade from one’s mind. The giant desktop monitor sits in a dark corner in the basement, and all the old and tattered clothes are in a box in the attic with no purpose anymore. These things fade out of one’s mind and the enjoyment that the items brought vanishes as quickly as it once existed. Certain objects, however, hold a special place in a person’s heart and no monetary figure could ever surpass the value put on this certain item. These items come from many places and people, but each and every one of these priceless items has the same thing in common with one another: the objects are special to the…
