There is Always money in the Banana stand. The two shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Arrested Development are both categorized as comedies, however one can be hardly considered a comedy. Arrested Development was a show that had aired only four seasons, whereas It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has aired for nine. It can be said that Arrested Development is a “smart" comedy and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is more of a “vulgar” comedy. Michael Bluth, second oldest son in the family, is the only level-headed and responsible member, forcing him to solve most of the family's problems. The Bluth family is dysfunctional, with even Michael causing problems at times, but the show ends every episode on a good note with most, if not all, of the problems resolved. The show revolves around virtuous themes such as loyalty, honesty, and generosity in which viewers can relate to. In It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the conflicts are caused by one or several of the main characters: Dennis, Charlie, Mac, Frank, or Dee (otherwise known as "the gang"). Unlike Arrested Development, the gang does not have a Michael Bluth figure in their lives, so any problems they create; they must solve on their own or leave it unresolved, which happens most of the time. The characters in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are mischievous people who promote unethical behavior such as lying, egotism, and manipulation. Arrested Development’s idea of comedy comes in relatable situations within families such as: sibling conflicts, misunderstandings, and disorder. Arrested Development has even developed a cult following due to the show's running gags, which is subjectively the funniest part of the show. In It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the gang is usually yelling at each and plotting unethical schemes,which is the source of its comedy. For example, Dennis creates a systematic approach on seduction a called the “D.E.N.N.I.S System” that belittles women. Unlike Arrested Development, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia requires little to no knowledge of previous episodes. This is not necessarily a pro, but more of a con, because this shows that the humor of It’s Always Sunny is the same for every episode, making it
