I think that the political cartoon does an excellent job of this because in the last scene, the author has the veteran as being a social outcast. The photo essay also describes this very well by showing the people in separate rooms, being examined to see if they have the potential to pursue the career that they want. Both articles use photos to show readers that coming home from a war is very difficult, and often times very frustrating. You just get back from fighting from your country. You want to get a job, do your duties, and lead a normal life, but you can’t. You can’t lead a normal life because the world is not ready for you. The world wants highly educated, experienced people, not uneducated war veterans. In my opinion, this is one thing that the world needs to improve and both articles do a great job of demonstrating
