As the bird in William Cullen Bryant’s “To a Waterfowl” flew across an endless sky to reach its destination, we, as humans, live our complicated lives with innumerable “paths” to take. These “paths” can represent choices such as where to go to college, what career field to enter into, whether or not to marry, and so forth. While some people choose their paths of life impulsively and without thinking over their choice, others leave the choice up to chance. However, a select few choose to allow God to guide their way through life and to trust in Him to help them make the right decisions, as the Bible teaches us to do.
Although I often think and worry about the future and what my plans are for college, I still have no idea where I want to attend college or what I want to do after my education is finished. Should I get accepted, I would love to attend an Ivy League School, but I worry that will not be possible, considering the financial

I want to enter into a career about which I am passionate about. I have always loved art and foreign cultures and languages, and medical sciences fascinate me, so I have a very difficult decision set before me. Even though the highest paying field of these three is most likely the medical field, I do not want money to be my primary objective when choosing a career. Rather, I would like to pursue a career that allows me to worship God as I please while doing something that I love.
As I struggle to include the Lord in my day-to-day activities and choices, I am continuously reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, which says, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.’” Even though I forget about Him and desert Him multiple times a day, I have faith that He will never leave me, and that He will always help me when I ask Him
