The job or career I am going to pursue after I graduate with my Bachelor’s degree is in the Information Technology Security field, as a IT Security Analyst. It has been something I been wanting to do for some time, it is my favorite side of IT and it intrigues me so much that I do want to pursue the field. I understand I will need to take some more classes related to Security and Cyber-Security, but once I finish my degree, I will be able to go after those Certificates such as the Security +, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager). It will take some extra work, but I know I can accomplish it. As an IT Security Analyst, the initial salary could be around $91,000.00 to $96,000.00 with higher salaries once you obtain more experience and more certifications. An average for a Chief Security Office is $225,000 a year, a Global Information Security Director averages $200,000.00 a year, a Security Consultant can cash in …show more content…
Binary code analysis is very powerful and useful in application security, so having a knowledge on binary and the tools with it should be a great benefit for the IT Security career. I learned on our Discrete Mathematics classes, how to decode binary languages using some Web sites that converts text to binary and vice versa. For example, the phrase “Hello, this is a fantastic day.” translated to binary code is: 01001000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00101100 00100000 01110100 01101000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01101001 01110011 00100000 01100001 00100000 01100110 01100001 01101110 01110100 01100001 01110011 01110100 01101001 01100011 00100000 01100100 01100001 01111001 00101110.
