A Career As A Kennel Assistant

With the experiences that I have gained through owning a dog, working at the Vet school, and from my major, I believe that I can bring these skills into a job as a kennel assistant. One of the many reasons that I believe that I would be a great addition to the Radford Animal Hospital team, is because I am a dedicated employee that is adaptive, good at following directions, and always ready to learn. Working with the service dogs, I have had time to experience the “human-animal” bond between an owner and their pets, and realize just how important veterinary work is to that relationship. I have experience cleaning kennels, mixing chemicals, lifting dogs up to 85lbs, administering medication orally and topically, and monitoring animals for any
