A Career As A Certified Nursing Assistant

It took me years to decide what I actually really wanted to be. I had so many job ideas in my head, I didn’t know where to start. I had jobs like; a teacher, a police officer, an electrician, a scientist, an engineer, a nurse, etc. I finally narrowed down all of my choices and stuck with one. The job choice, I decided to stick with was being a nurse. After I read more about nurses and what they do, I decided that that is exactly what I wanted to do. I had more of an interest in being a nurse more rather than any of my other choices. I have thought about being a nurse since I was ten years old, even though I had a lot of other choices, a nurse was always on my mind. I was always so fascinated with what the nurses do. I thought I was so cool seeing them all dressed up with their scrubs, shoes, and having their outfits all professional. Ever since I saw them, I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. They take their time and effort to make sure these patients get exactly what they need, they make sure they always have the proper daily supplies they need done. They make sure they have their baths, clothes changed, teeth brushed, bed pans changed, make sure they do not have any bed sores, and also make sure they are comfortable and not in any kind of pain. Just by doing their jobs, they make $11.73 per hour, some Certified Nursing Assistants are on call 24/7 which all depends on where they work.
