Knowing the eight dimensions of wellness is essential in making wellness a part of one’s everyday life. The first dimension deals with emotions and coping effectively with life and creating satisfying relationships (Eight Dimensions of Wellness, 2017). I was worried when I first moved in that I would be quite homesick and miss my family too much, but really, once I settled in and made a bunch of new friends to this day I have never once felt unusual and have created many new friendships that will last a lifetime. My goal is to not let anything get in the way of my focus by enjoying every aspect life has to offer. The second dimension deals with the environment and developing pleasant and stimulating surroundings (Eight Dimensions of Wellness, 2017). As soon as I moved in it took a long time to get used to where everything is at like classes, dorms, and dining halls. I would definitely say the hardest part was figuring out what times each dining options are opening and closing because every once in a while, I would be craving Mexican food on the weekends but come to find out fiesta grill does not open on the weekends. Now I have learned the locations of many different rooms in different halls and also the dining schedule! My goal is to keep exploring the campus and hopefully have the chance to have at least one class in each …show more content…
I began this semester by spending most of my time in the library studying because I felt that I could not get anything done in my dorm room due to distractions. I would spend hours there at a time and not have any distractions. I have come to find out, due to me being lazy, that I actually can study and get homework done while being in my dorm room which is where I do all my work now. My goal is to keep my grades up to ensure I can land a great job after
