I chose to research the box and whisker plot for my final project, because I remember when I learned it in high school that I enjoyed it more than most math things. I could also understand how it worked better, so I thought that I could explain it better in my paper and in the presentation than the other topics. The box and whisker plot is used to show the shape of the distribution, it's central value, and it's variability. Before Barry Manilow's 74th birthday, he started to wonder, what are the ages of people's favorite singers? Barry thought for a while, how could I find this answer?
