Vision- Read the quote above, in the middle and below. Read them again. Reflect on it. Act on it. Live it. Successful organizations and people are best defined by continuous, sustained success at all levels; not periodic acts of individual greatness and understanding what they do, no matter how small they think it is, is immensely important. Everyone has a part to play in the organization and intrinsically want to do the right thing. Sustain that conviction with those “right” thoughts, followed by words and deeds.
Values- Values are ideas that translate to actions. I challenge everyone to uphold our Army Values: Loyalty, Duty, Honor, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage, doing so, will lead you down the right path.

However, duty is not easy. We all make promises at various levels and at times regret our promises. The key is fulfilling the requirements of your duty in a selfless manner with the intrinsic idea that what you are doing is the right thing. A key test of duty and selfless service is how you complete tasks when no one else is around. Do your best all the time.
Caring- Respecting and helping individuals are all hallmarks of caring. As leaders we have special powers to make things better or worse for those we lead. Make things better. Do your duty and use selfless service to provide guidance, care and compassion for these great people. This is not easy and is often tossed aside at the first opportunity. Don’t be that type of leader. Sometimes caring involves correction. Employ this wisely.
Humility- Some consider it a weakness, not so much! Putting your ego aside, and listening to others viewpoints, placing the spotlight on them and seeking out others to create something great is a rare trait. One of the traits I constantly work on.
