To me, it is important for oneself to explore his/her own hidden potential and utilize it for the benefit of him/herself. Intelligence is not solely dependent on our ability to score an A during an exam, but that’s the Eastern mindset where examination result will directly influence our destiny in life. I agreed with the theories mentioned by both psychologist where intelligence can be divided into many sub parts which includes language, mathematics, musical, physical, feelings, motivations etc.
In the Eastern mindset, many parents would pressure their own children to become a recognized professional in the society such as doctors, lawyers, engineers etc. Especially in Malaysia, if you got enrolled in science stream you are considered a student with bright future, but if you got enrolled in art stream you will be considered a student with no future.
