4.2 Sequences of Events:
Worker 1 (W1, AFSAS Person 1) was participating in scheduled riot training drills. As W1 was holding his riot shield (OBJ1, AFSAS Object 1) a member of OP 4 threw a tire (OBJ2, AFSAS Object 2) striking W1 shield. From the force of the tire and the angle in which W1 was holding the shield, cause W1’s shield to strike himself in the face. W1 immediately notified his supervisor of the injury and transported himself to the on base medical facility. W1’s PCM diagnosed him with a bone bruise to the right cheek and proscribed medical grade pain relievers for his injuries.
