A force field analysis was conducted on the company in regards to the need for change and implementation of any changes (appendix 9). The driving forces being that of the recent failed inspections, levels of quality products and services and the company reputation to uphold along with many other forces for a need for change. The main restraining factors include the going against the current status quo, people do not like change and some even avoid change as we can see with the sales manager who avoids the use of the internet site and does not see the potential in it. Inevitably this will be damaging to the company as in order to progress and develop a level of change is required (mullins 2007). I have conducted critical analysis of the organisation and utilised numbers diagnostic models in order to compile a list of recommendations for the hotel in order for it to develop and be successful in the future. The recommendations provided are just that, however for the organisation to avoid continuing in the trap of success as illustrated and stressed above it must put take action in order to continue being a provider of high quality service and being extremely popular as a successful establishment. The main causes for the need for change are those of complaints, lacking and failed standards. Analysis has also identified additional changes including structural and training in which will open doors to future growth and sustainability, avoiding the need for change in the future and taking on more of an adaptive nature. For the future it is advisable to constantly look to adapt, improve and grow, avoiding falling back into the position the hotel is in
