1. The students knew that the quiet signal was “class, class”. I didn’t know the quiet signal before observing, but all the students were taught the meaning of this quiet signal.

I choose to observe 3rd grade because I have always thought that I don’t want to end up teaching 3rd grade. I have not experienced 3rd grade before.
1. Students are assigned spots in line. No arguing about where you stand or who is in front of you.
2. Lots of no bullying poster hung throughout the room to remind students that bullying is not allowed.
3. “Fist to 5” poster: the hand starts at 0 and goes to all 5 fingers being up. 0= don’t understand-5=completely understand.
4. Skip counting for how many days in school. The counter didn’t have every number up, but skipped around, so the students could practice on adding different amounts.
5. “Calm bodies”: have a calm body in the classroom.
6. Students who needed to talk to the teacher lined up along the mailboxes and waited for the teacher to be free.
