The 12-lead ECG gives reading from 1 different electrical placements around the heart. The way that this works is each of the 12 signals are supposed to identify electrical activity from the heart's muscle. This however is not easy, it will take dedication and long hours before you are able to interpret the 12-lead ECG, but once done correctly you will be able to read these signals and therefore translate them. When approaching the 12 lead ECG, there are a few things that you must know. The last couple lines of a full “rhythm strip”, spread over the entire 10 seconds of the ECG.
