A law school application is about making one’s case for admission. Thus, I’ll make this addendum my closing argument. I recognize that my LSAT scores are significantly below your school’s LSAT percentiles – and I take full responsibility for my scores – but let me take the opportunity to explain why I should strongly be considered for admission nonetheless. First, despite what my LSAT scores imply, I believe my application makes a compelling argument that one can reliably predict that I have the ability to do very well in law school and as prospective attorney. As my transcript and academic record can verify, I believe I have the intellectual capacity to understand and critically analyze the rigorous legal curriculum. From working with other attorneys for the past two years, I know I have the ability to think, argue, and write like a…

Despite my major being finance my second interest has been law. My freshman year I took Business Law 1 with Cecilia Cook. I didn’t realize that an elective that my advisor at freshman orientation would suggest I take a class that I would truly benefit from. In that class I got introduced to the basics of law. I came out of that class with an A and I believe that that was not due to the fact that I had to study hard and force myself to work at it, it was because I was truly interested in the…

American University Law School’s campus is beautiful; the classrooms are new, spacious, and sometimes well-lit. I was really excited to have the opportunity to sit in a real law school class amongst unrehearsed law students, which would give me an insight into the inner workings of a law school classroom. The experience was rewarding in more ways than one and it also reinforced my plans to attend law school. My expectations were unclear, as I had sat in a Torts class before, but this time I sat…

“A lawyer is required to be talented and further a hard worker” Those were the very first words I was told by my father after I decided to become a lawyer, and those exact words have inspired me throughout my profession. My passion for law can be tracked back to my childhood, when I was seven years old as I saw my father for the first time in trial, standing for his client´s rights. The correctness and the pursuit of the truth held in that trial made me realize that there are not greater people…

Gun Laws and Regulations Regulations and Gun rights for college campuses is something that has many people questioning the laws. The legislative passing a law allowing college employees and students to carry guns is not the greatest idea. All college students shouldn’t be allowed to carry hand guns. The law should remain as keeping concealed licenses then traversing into open-carry license. There’s a great debate on rather teachers should have the right to be armed which in my opinion could…

A nonprofit corporation administering products and services for facilitating admissions processes for colleges of law and their applicants refers to the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). And despite the fact no official relationship exists linking the LSAC to the American Bar Association (ABA), all ABA-accredited institutions have LSAC membership. Of the four SUSF colleges of law selected by our prospect, all applicant-mandated information submits to the LSAC, necessitating the creation of a…
