I think this is due to my own perceptions about the children; Jesse-Leigh talks often and easily, whereas Emily sometimes makes sounds instead of speaking. I am glad to be made aware of this. I am making efforts to engage in conversation with all the children. Since the visit I have had conversations with Emily about her milk moustache, which she points out to me almost daily. Emily’s awareness of her milk moustache has made other children eager to point out their milk moustaches, too. The children mostly rode cars, ran, jumped, and played in the sand table while on the lanai.
