Furthermore, it’s hard to put a price on many things, but asking never hurts. Just be cautious with that being said, though, as someone else’s view of worth can differ. With this in mind, the wants of an individual can be met with an exchange of money, but considering the situation as a voucher to do as one wishes cannot be the answer. Showing up to a sold-out play, for instance, and waving a twenty around will not grant admission, especially for the best seat there. Chiarella best explains this concept by saying that “A twenty should not be a ticket so much as a solution.” Though you might have failed at the ticket counter, if someone was selling their ticket outside and needed to rid their self of it fast, you could score a deal. Likewise, if found that the seat wasn’t that great once inside, someone in the front row might be willing to trade for twenty dollars to get a few concessions. A little creativity can go a long way when it comes to making deals with a twenty-dollar bill, just as long as it is understood as a problem solver and not a golden ticket.
