Have you ever struggle with school? I have, school has always being hard for me. But it has also taught me how to achieve better skills of learning. It has helped me learn more about my inner self. My experience in high school has made me realize that some subjects are going to be is challenging, people are not going to be nice, and that responsibility is the key to success. High school has changed in me several ways. One of them was the ability to do things I thought I could not accomplish. I always doubted myself because some things were so hard for me to understand. For example during my high school year in the eleventh grade, I had to take geometry. Math was always a hard subject for me. I had to take geometry in order for me to get my advanced diploma. Since I really wanted to achieve this goal, I started to study and stay after school for more help. I studied and I practiced it nonstop. By the time I had to take my geometry SOL, I was ready and I felt more confident on taking it. This taught me to not doubt myself and that everything is possible if I set my mind to it. Another thing that high school has taught me was that some people can be really judgmental and mean. It was a normal day and I was wearing a hoodie. The weather was warm but still a little chilly. On my way to class this girl that I have no…

High School Experience Kindergarten through tenth grade I attended Triton Schools. I then transferred to Hayfield High School my junior year. I chose to transfer because I wanted more of a challenge, I felt as if triton were too easy. Triton school wasn’t very challenging; their academic standards were much lower than Hayfield’s. Hayfield started out to be more challenging, due to the fact that their math classes specifically were in a different order than Triton’s. I completed algebra 1 in…

before my freshman year of high school, I decided to have a party with all my friends. My dad had purchased a blow screen and a projector so I could watch movies in the back with my friends. My parent told me I had a limit of 16 of kids, I could have over and I thought that was ridiculous and like any other rebellious teenager, I invited all my friends over and told them to invite whomever they wanted. Instead of 16 people over I ended up having around 60 kids from my grade show up, including a…

I do not believe my high school experience was one that I would like to remember very well. I cannot complain about my upbringing, or the advantages I had as a child and adolescent. I came from a family where I could have had anything I wanted, and attended a private school for most of my school career, having friends who went to Ivy League schools after graduation. Things did not go as I had expected, transferring from the school I had attended since I was 4 to a public school for at the…

challenges from tough classes, to changing friend groups, to figuring out who I want to become. However, none compare to the arduous struggle to jump out of my comfort zone and conquer my elementary anxiety on which I determined my place among my peers and began the definition of who I was. Starting elementary school, I was cripplingly anxious, not simply the occasional bout of nervousness most people get, but I was truly terrified of what others thought of me and incessantly put an incredible…

“Brace face”, “You are ugly”, “Ugly duckling”, “You are fat”, “You are stupid”,” You are too thin”, “Weirdo”. These are just some of the comments that primary or high school learners come across when being bullied. Some of the above mentioned comments are from personal experiences I’ve had growing up.
