Some examples of famous religious sects are Baptists or Lutherans. They are sects of the religion Christianity. They pretty much smaller branches of the major religion that believe slightly different things than the major religion. Baptists, for example believe that Baptism should be performed only for professing believers. Also that it must be completely immersion for it to be a true Baptism.
