Our countries veterans are often shown little to no respect. I find this fact shameful. We have so much to thank them for. Three of the many reasons we should show respect to our veterans are, they help us stay free, they protect us, and they do everything for the sake of others.

Veterans fight, risking their own lives, so we as a country can stay free. I find thus completely heart warming. They could do something completely safe but they risk their lives purely for our freedom. Without our veterans we would likely be living life under a dictatorship.

These amazing people have kept this country safe for longer than anyone on earth has been alive. We could have been destroyed years ago without our veterans. They are literally the only reason our country still is our country. …show more content…
They fight, and even die, just for us. Just for the people of the USA. Yet still we call them terrible things, the worst I've heard being "You disgusting baby
