As an honor student, I am always making excellent grades and constantly staying on top of my schoolwork. At Cross Creek High School, I am looked upon as an ideal student and I have set an example for the younger classes. Beyond Cross Creek, I will be a great role model at the University of Georgia for younger students to want to strive to be like, if not better. Not only do I exceed in the classroom, but I also exceed in the relationships that I bestow with my teachers and peers. Since I have a diversity of friends, I understand that one's social and cultural differences are what make each individual's personality so unique. I believe that having different mindsets can bring about great accomplishments; therefore I am open to any and all ideas. …show more content…
Alongside with my academic success, I also try and serve my community and school in any way possible, something that I can also bring to the University of Georgia. I am in quite a few clubs at Cross Creek such as the National Honor Society and FFA, therefore I seek to indulge in clubs when I am a University of Georgia student. Two clubs that I hope to join are the Golf Club and the Sports Medicine Club. When I graduate from the University of Georgia, I hope to have networked with leaders from across the nation in the field of Sports Medicine so that I can have the brightest future possible. Southern Methodist University’s mission statement expresses the values I admire and seek in a University such as, “promoting an environment emphasizing individual dignity and worth”. Being a student that struggled in school early on, I knew re-building my-self-worth would be crucial for success in college. Following my enrolment at Tarrant County College, I have joined the Cornerstone honors program offered at the campus and elected officer of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. These two organizations have served as complimentary forces that have enriched me with leadership, fellowship and intellectual skills I will contribute to my community. I view Southern Methodist University as a local gem.…

Hardworking, trustworthy, selfless, determined, and helpful… I believe that I have demonstrated these qualities exceptionally throughout my high school career. A glimpse at my exquisite grades that I have kept in four years of challenging classes reveals not only my effort, but my endless determination as well. Despite all of the energy that I directed towards my own success at school, I was always willing to help others who struggled in their classes, especially in math and science. Also, I put time and effort into my extracurricular activities in order to benefit my school’s community. I painted a mural of the Mt. Hope Bridge to beautify a conference room, helped plan countless events for the entire student body, from spirit weeks to…

WHY I WANT TO JOIN THE HONORS PROGRAM Alighting from a Boeing 747 jetliner on the JFK tarmac on Thursday evening, April 28, 2016, I walked into what could be called a new page in my life story—a new start. That was my first time on this side of the hemisphere. With little money, zero friends, one close relative and little to hold on to, I found myself leaning on only a thread of asset – my mind. Knowing this, I vowed to keep this God given asset alive and growing with all my soul and might, and what better way to do this than to identify with people of like passion, people who will add to me.…
