Jamestown and the plymouth ships that went to colonize the new world one of them was successful and the other one was not one of those 2 colonies was very unsuccessful and the other one was decently successful. Plymouth was very unsuccessful and was lead by captain John Smith. Jamestown was somewhat successful. The plymouth was actually the first colony that came here. Jamestown was the first english colony that was in Virginia in 1607. They went to go make money and to get rich everyone there was for themselves and did not work together to help others they just wanted to go and just get rich and have a good life and not worry about anything.
