Coming from a family where neither of my parents have received a postsecondary education, I have always dreamed about attending college. With my involvement in the livestock industry, a vast variety of career opportunities are available. However, I currently have aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. In the fall of 2017, I plan on attending Hutchinson Community College to achieve an associate's degree in animal science, then transferring on to Kansas State University. My educational aspirations consist of attaining a bachelor's degree in animal science, which will open the doors of attending veterinarian medicine school.

Currently, there are multiple boar studs throughout the nation; however, none of theses operations offer interactive features on their websites to accommodate questions pertaining to the boars on stud. Typically, when a swine producer has questions about specific males on stud, they are forced to call the owner or herdsman of the boar stud to receive breeding advice and information about each individual male on stud. Often times during the peak of breeding seasons, an individual can be put on hold for multiple hours at a time when simply in search of breeding advice. In order to combat this problem, the creation of an interactive website that automatically answers commonly asked questions pertaining to each individual male with semen available would be beneficial to all producers interested in specific genetic lines. With the use of technology, my innovative idea could potentially change the norm of how website pages are designed for livestock genetic studs.
Through owning a veterinarian clinic and an interactive swine boar stud, I wish to provide as many job opportunities as possible for the community. Even though these academic and career goals are far fetched, I am fully committed to do everything possible to turn these dreams into a
