Two Arguments Against Abortion

People say babies are miracles. It’s fascinating to think another human being is capable of growing inside their mother. Some people you meet will never get the chance to raise a child of their own due to medical reasons. Other people pass up the gift they have been given. They don’t want to take responsibilities for their actions. In these cases their actions resulted in a baby. Selfishness passes through them and takes over. They make a decision that will be held over their heads for the rest of their life. Why would someone take the life away from someone they just created? I do not agree with taking a part in abortions and I don’t know why anyone would. The first reason I do not agree with abortions is that it takes away the life of an …show more content…
40% of minors having an abortion say that neither of their parents know that they are getting the procedure (abort73.com). Why would we want to teach teens that it’s okay to hide pregnancies from their parents? To go behind your families back and take the life away from a perfectly healthy baby is a cruel thing to do. Approximately ⅓ American women have had an abortion by the age of 45 (studentsforlife.org). Having the opportunity to undo mistakes, as an abortion does for the mother, makes it seem much more acceptable to do in society. In Florida, 92.33% of people didn’t have a valid reason for their abortion (abort73.com). Then why would they get an abortion in the first place? Probably because they’re scared and don’t know what to do. They don’t want the responsibility of another human …show more content…
Realistically, anyone could stand up and say that abortion is harmless and that it’s a great privilege to have. It could be stated that women should be able to make the choice they want to so their lives aren’t affected in a negative way. Someone could say why would we allow to bring a new life into the world that’s not wanted by the parents, or that the family can’t support. Activists for abortions might claim that the fetus is not alive until out of the womb. But really, no one knows for sure. Some argue that the moment fertilization happens life begins. Others insist that it’s not until later in the pregnancy. Either way the zygote will grow to become a child that is capable of anything. Does it matter that the baby is three weeks old when it’s killed or twenty-three weeks old? No, it can still mature into a beautiful human being if given the

Some activists even say that the fetus could have been an influential leader and could have lived their life with their full potential, but thinking like that is also like saying that if Mussolini had been aborted, a plethora of people would have still been alive today. The abortion issue is a huge gray area. Essentially, a fertilized egg is a potential human being and terminating it is considered to be cold-blooded murder, but the when a living sperm and egg cell are destroyed, it is not. Trying to defend life that has merely begun to form or be fertilized is like trying to defend every sperm and egg cell that hasn’t had the right to their life as an adult.…

For pro-life activists, there are two opinions. The first overwhelming opinion is that once the child is conceived, it is living. The second follows the idea of once a mother feels the child “kick,” which is around the eighth week, it is living. For pro-choice activists, scientific fact argues loudly that the fetus is absolutely “unable to sustain life outside the woman’s womb… instead an in utero fetus with the potential of becoming a child.” (Planning Parenthood)…

Think about the last time you had a family dinner celebrating a newborn in the family, a party for a one year old baby, or maybe a baptismal ceremony. How did you feel about the precious baby? Think about the last time you were watching an old family video on an archaic cassette from 10 to 20 years ago. There you were jolly as you could possibly be, playing in the park on the swings, or messing around with pots and pans on the kitchen floor. Life was utterly fascinating, adventurous, and beautiful as a baby.…

Mary Troxell Muenzberg November 28, 2016 PHI 202-02 Approximately 3,000 babies are aborted each day in the United States, according to the Abortion Index. You can terminate a fetus 's life either by procedurally removing the fetus from the mother or taking a pill. Generally, it is defined as a medical procedure performed by a physician who takes a fetus from its mother, cutting off nutrients, air, and essentially, all life from their innocent body. This may produce a graphic image within your mind, but it accurately depicts an abortion, killing an innocent life. Abortion is politically, religiously, and personally debated among American citizens.…

People are known for having sympathetic feelings to a child who is visible over the unborn fetus. However, pro-life activists hold that emotions that cannot form a basis for justifying birth. With the fetus being born or not being born; the fetus does have a chance in becoming a full human being. Viability of a fetus to survive outside the womb independently is when the fetus is able to get that ‘full human being’ status. Abortion also raises ethical issues of character.…

Many have different reason to why they do, but either way it is wrong and it should not be legal. Throughout the years, the abortion rate has gone up severely. All of the abortions that happen can not just be from health issues or rape. A study shows that many abortions recently are just because the mother is not ready for a baby. “In 2010, more than half of all pregnancies were unintended in 28 states; in the remainder of the states, a minimum of 36% of pregnancies were unintended” (Wind, 1).…

Abortion is a huge problem that has caused a wide range of controversy all over the United States. There are two sides to the problem, which are people who oppose abortion or support it. Abortion becomes a big deal when trying to decide whether a fetus should be considered a human being already when a woman aborts. In my case I believe that a woman should not be able to abort a child inside her unless there is some type of serious medical issue where the child may not come out alive. When a woman aborts a child, they did not want, it is like the killing of another human being who had no say or ever did anything wrong to deserve it.…

Abortion can make someone’s life or break someone’s life. This is something that in my opinion is a very misinterpreted thing in such a way which is very wrong. I say this because people think that it’s the right thing to do if they know that they won’t be able to take care of the child. A lot of woman who experience unintended pregnancy undergo abortions also. Hospitals around America stopped providing the choice for a woman to have an abortion.…
