Paul discusses God’s judgment and how each and every person has fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 2:12 states that, “All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.” (NIV). This is talking about the saved and the unsaved and how exactly God deals with the individual according to the circumstance of their salvation. In those days, the Jews were expected to uphold a much higher standard than the Gentiles were. This is the same as Christians today are expected to maintain a particular standard and those who are not saved are not held quite to that standard. We are a doomed people, and we are unable to save ourselves in our own power though many of us are convinced we need no one other than ourselves. God, however, loves the world and He sent His son to rescue us. How merciful and beautiful is that truth? The knowledge of human identity really affects my worldview because it influences the way I view myself and the way I view others. We are fallen, but God helps us
