The Revenant Themes

The Revenant Returning of the spirt was roughly mastered by Leonard DiCaprio throughout the film. The Revenant comes from the French, which makes sense on why they French were a part of the movie. Alejandro’s did an amazing job directing this movie because it was by far the best movie we watched in class. The film had many themes to it which conducted a great movie. Love is very strong and Glass shows how much he loved his wife and his son. There is nothing more sad then losing people who you love dearly. Revenge took control over glass because that is what is keeping him alive. The Revenant is how effectively it transports us to another time and place, while always maintaining its worth as a piece of visual art. “Revenge is in god’s hands not mine”. This quote was said by Hugh Glass when he had the choice of killing John Fitzgerald. Glass was devastated that Fitzgerald killed his son because he was all he had left in the world. Fitzgerald was in it for the money and did not care what he had to do to get it. The leader of the group relied on Fitzgerald to take care of Glass, but he failed because he was a selfish man. I would, go and watch this movie again because it was that good. Any movie with Leonardo DiCaprio is a great movie because he is an amazing performer. When the movie started off it was action, which got me hooked to finish watching the rest of the movie. It was not until after I watched the movie that I found out that this movie was based on a true story. The quality of the film was magnificent, there were some points that I felt that I was in the movie because how real it felt. Some part were gory and disturbing, but the color and lighting was good. I would rate this movie a ten out of ten because that is how much I loved this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a movie to
