Not only obesity in genes of a particular children, effect those children, but those children will also pass the genes to the next generation to come, and this passing of genes will carry on from one generation to another, increasing the obesity rate in childhood. The increase of the obesity rate in childhood will have a very destructive effect on our society since this chain of genes will keep increasing generation by generation, causing a higher percentage of obesity in the society. Children have little or no ability to shape their diet, they have little control over how they get around and what they are given to eat. They have similar eating habits and physical activities as their parents, who are mostly busy in their daily routine of full-time work (sometimes overtime to make ends meet) and raising their kids. This leaves the parents with either very little, or most likely, no time at all to think about having a balanced and healthy diet for themselves and their kids. Because of the shortage of time, parents mostly don’t have time to cook or provide healthy meals to their kids, instead their kids get used to eating junk food, using pre-packaged goods, and drinking sodas daily from the vending machines. All of these consumptions are not healthy at all, drinking soda causes different diseases; for example, liver damage, tooth decay, kidney stones and diabetes. Junk food not only causes obesity, but it is also a major cause of several diseases like, cancer, high cholesterol and high blood
