With the implementation of any new program, it is important to consider obstacles, barriers, and pitfalls that may be associated with its enactment. Most new programs and products enter a learning phase immediately after release, and changing the scope of leadership programs within the health care setting are no different. Furthermore, issues may emerge at any point along the development of the program resulting in undesired effects on personnel or the way care is accomplished. Through the course of this essay, I will identify some of the more serious difficulties to the leadership development plan discussed in module four; additionally I will identify the factors that may influence these potential problems.
