When my family goes on vacation, every day is filled with adventure around every corner. My mom, dad, sister Abby, and I were fortunate enough to go on a Carnival Cruise to Mexico. We took this fantastic and memorable trip in July, 2014. Our ship departed from Long Beach and was sailing to Ensenada, Mexico. This terrific voyage lasted four days and three nights, which were each filled with delightful adventures and activities. The cruise that I took to Mexico provided my family and I with precious bonding time and fantastic memories to last a lifetime, for which I will forever be thankful.

To begin with, right as we boarded the ship, a twenty-dollar bill of mine flew out of my bag and right into the ocean. At first, I was thoroughly sad and upset because I wanted to go buy something at the gift shop and now had no money to use. Thankfully, my dad was nice enough to lend me some cash so I could do a little shopping. The following day, I was out at the pool deck with my whole family enjoying the nice, warm jacuzzi. I decided to check out the pool on my own, so I walked over and stepped onto this plank that was above the pool water, dividing it into two sections. A girl came up behind me on the plank, and either by accident or on purpose, she pushed me into the freezing cold pool! It felt like being in the Arctic Ocean, and as all my muscles were tensing up, all I could think about was getting out of there. On the third day, we finally arrived in Mexico, and my family boarded a bus that took us to downtown Ensenada. We spent a large portion of the day shopping around in various stores, and I even got a beautiful necklace from Swarovski. Later in the afternoon, we came across someone who had exotic animals like a lion, tiger, and parrot, that you could pay to take a picture with. My family wanted to take a photo with the baby lion, so we all sat down and my mom held the lion. Apparently the lion was not very happy, because after letting out a big yawn, it bit my mom on her shoulder! Fortunately, it did not cause any serious damage and we could continue with our day. All the adventures we experienced together as a family created lasting memories that we are grateful to
