God’s will is for us to extend forgiveness regardless of what has been done to us. We are called to extend compassion and mercy to those who don’t even deserve it. Extending forgiveness is the essence of the Gospel.
Forgiveness must be given from the depths of our hearts for it to truly be forgiveness. Just because one says they forgive does not constitute authentic forgiveness. This is why she reached out to a ministry like ours. Convinced that something unusual was taking place in her life she pursued another rout for help. Deliverance.
I began to inquire about her current situations. She conveyed to me her love for the Lord and how in just a short time she would be leaving for the mission field. Before she left she wanted to be free from this encompassing weight that lingered and made her feel emotionally sadden.
I then began to ask her about things from her past. I was looking for those things that would be red flags from her past that could be potential open doors for the demonic to wreak havoc behind the scenes.
