My school has a 1 million dollar soccer field called Wesson. It’s located behind the football stadium, which is located on the outskirts of campus. The soccer teams take pride in the field, as they often chant “We don’t lose on Wesson!”, even though spectators usually forgo the soccer game in favor of the football game.
It has to be clear enough to see the moon and stars. I never really plan it, but sometimes my friend reminds me to look outside because the moon is so big and beautiful and then I’m off. …show more content…
They built an odd, stone trail through the tennis courts and around the construction site. On those nights, I take that route because the trail manages to escape the street lamps’ lights. The path then opens up to Wesson; empty, dark, surrounded by trees. I always walk first, and then I suddenly break out into a run, racing across the sidelines, the half line, and finally to the benches. I then look back, seeing the school’s lights in the distance and the top of the bell tower. This moment always feels like I’m in a jailbreak from a dystopian
