In the play, “The Diary of Anne Frank” by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, the reader discovers that Mr. Frank has the good qualities of a good leader through his decisions and interactions with the residents of the Secret Annex. For instance, before they had to go in hiding, Mr. Frank writes a fake address for a place in Switzerland and then, throws it away so, if anyone comes looking for the Frank’s they think they fled the country. This shows how he thinks ahead. In addition, the play how he is a good leader through his interactions with the residents in the Secret Annex. Specifically, one instance right after Mr. Van Dann stole a piece of bread, the residents were very disgruntled at him and wanted to kick them to the curb. He
