The Bhagavad Gita The Bhagavad Gita is the song of god simply referred as Gita. It is basically a guide to how to live and honor Dharma. And it is one of the holy books of Hinduism. It was written in sanskrit. It gives the glimpse of Indian civilization and hinduism based on religion and, warfare. The Bhagavad Gita is an overview of family rivalry and conflict over territory (Hastinapur). It has teachings said to be given by Lord Krishna (Hindus believe to be the eight incarnations of god Vishnu in human form.) and, it’s one of the oldest religion followed till this day. Hinduism is the dominant religion in part of south asia countries mostly in India and, Nepal. Hinduism is a Polytheism, as they worships many gods and goddess. They also worship animals like cows, monkey, rats etc. The sacred book for Hinduism is The Bhagavad Gita. Hinduism is the major religion in India calling themselves Hindu. Hindu goes to worship in temple also known as Mandir. Hinduism believed that three Lords rules the world. Brahma (The Creator), Vishnu (The Preserver) and, Shiva (The Destroyer). Hindu believed that Vishnu as a god, preserves the world by incarnating himself into different human forms at the time of emergency. This can be related to book, as Hindu believed that Lord Krishna was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu who acted as Arjuna’s charioteer and counselor for Arjuna and tells him about his Dharma (Duty). Hindus believed in reincarnation. The basic belief was that a person’s fate is determined according to their deeds which is known as Karma. As, a soul who does good Karma in this life will have better life in the next incarnation. And, a soul who does bad Karma will be punished in their next incarnation.
