Not just in elementary school and high school, but also in college. This is especially true for books deal with computers and sciences. I currently have a database text book that was written in 2012. It is now 2017. To have a text book that teaches database or and computer based technology to be 5 years old is just not expectable. There have being so many advances in technology in just that short amount of time that I feel that the text book should be in a museum somewhere, not being taught as curriculum in a college course. How are we allowing this to happen? What could be done to the text book writing process to speed up the publishing of text books to ensure that they are up to date with the current technology?
