The pressure there is so much that anxiety is bound to happen to everyone at least a little but nearly no one is that lucky enough to experience it very little. 6 million Americans can claim to Panic Disorder, and only one third of people actually get treated for these issues (Teens Anxiety 1). It doesn’t matter if it’s genetic or brought on by environmental factors, people see it as being weak to admit to anxiety. 60 out of 100 teens say that they have had anxiety attacks or symptoms from it in the last school year, only admitting it a few months after unless it got worse (Untreated Anxiety in Teens 3). Depression and anxiety are one of the biggest for all age groups, but more prompt in 15-25 age group. This causes strains on relationships in various ways that can even lead to suicidal actions/thoughts. Eating disorders can co-occur with anxiety in teens (Mental Health in Teens 1). Anxiety can cause the thinking every thing someone does is a reflection of what they’re doing wrong or look like in some cases.
