Friar Laurence can be blamed for Romeo’s and Juliet’s death because he makes the decision to get them married even though he knows that their parents would not approve that. First, Friar Laurence helps Romeo to make this marriage possible. Then, Friar Laurens was the one that that encouraged Romeo more and more to do this thing even though it is wrong. Friar Laurence is talking to Romeo and agreed with him but because his own reasons, “/ In one respect I’II thy assistant be, / For this alliance may to happy prove / To turn your household’s rancour to pure love” (2.3.94-96). This quotation shows that Friar Laurens agreed with them for one reason, that the two families will stop the fight because their children are married, put their life in big danger.
