Theatre had always given me a chance to breathe. No matter how small the part for that moment I could live my life through someone else’s eyes. At the same time, I wanted to live through my own, I wanted to be able to tell my story. I wanted to inspire those like me that anything is possible with hard work. I began to learn how to do just that through those around me. Whether it was rehearsal, I was talking to Miss Shepard or listening to conversations around me, I realized one thing they were never afraid of who they were. That was my key, there was no need to hide that I was dyslexic, that needed to be what motivated me.
