“Measuring ‘Term Limitedness’", by Marjorie Scarborough Thompson in U.S. Multi- State Research is about estimating the effect of the length of service permitted on the term limits. Scarborough followed turnover in the house seat in the 1980s to 1990s to observe the effect and her findings yielded some pros and cons of term limits and legislation Scarborough uses this article to establish a pre-term limit baseline using empirical and analytical data. In her studies she found that term limits had fewer effects on some states and more dramatic effects and others.

Summary
In “Limit All Terms to One Year”, Thomas Sowell he explains in his article about limiting terms to one term because he believes a disproportionate amount devotes time to getting reelected rather than serving the people. Sowell believes the weakness is in campaign contributions and seeking re election because money has the potential to corruption. Sowell believes the heart of much government corruption is on thing, re-election. It takes big bucks to run a political campaign and all that most politicians have to sell is the power of government that they control.

In “How Lawmakers Could Establish Term Limits”, DeSantis has told how lawmakers could establish term limits. The article is about amending the constitution to limit house members to three terms and U.S. Senators to two terms. DeSantis introduced a joint resolution but to date only has a handful of house members are on board.
