Rape can be a form of socio- culture since the action itself has developed its own social norms and rules. The players involved have their own traditions, habits, beliefs and rules. When discussing the “rules” of rape culture it stated to be that “the incidence of rape varies cross-culturally; second, a high incidence of rape is embedded in a distinguishably different cultural configuration than a low incidence of rape.” (Sandy 1 1981). It can be determined that rape is just the biological sexuality of some men. It is within there genes and apart of their sexual behaviors to be a dominant species. It is a behavior that reflection control and power. But how does the rape culture impact have delivered bias and formed stereotypes. Within this culture their has become a bias that is the “women fault” in the case of why she was assaulted, that she wore something inappropriate that she may have lead the male figure on. But within this most common type of bias it is never considered that the male figure can be a victim. This leads to the stereotype within rape socio-culture that men don’t get raped; women or other male figures do not assault them. Shows like “Family Guy” is another form of commercial sex as it being a television show that has experienced discrimination for the portrayal or the stereotype that men don’t get sexually assaulted, when the male character is seen to be assaulted and the incident appeared to be amusing. The rape socio culture itself can cause false sexual expectations and perspective. Also that having a socio-culture that has developed a rape social culture within itself influences this false expectation. It can be seen as acceptable. It can form an expectation that because of someone sexual behavior they can try t take control over someone else’s with some type of force, which in society is seen to be false. It also forms the expectation that women are creatures that enjoy having someone have “control” over them, and that they are delicate enough for this to occur.
