“Privilege is defined as a thing that exist when one group has something of value that is denied to to others simply because of the groups they being to, rather than because of something they’ve done or failed to do” (21). For example, a white professor receives a lot more praise for a speech than if a black professor did the exact same speech. In America men are seen as masculine and tough without emotions so most people seek out a man’s direction rather than a women’s because women are looked at as emotional, sensitive, and kind. When a child is born we are taught to be a certain gender in result of your actual anatomical sex. Women and men might have differences but not to the point to where one should be superior and one should be inferior.
