When the client has entered the room, and had a consultation, they will be asked to remove clothing and jewellery and place them on a chair. This will be moved to a safe position away from the infra-red lamp, client and therapist. When the client is comfortable, the lamp should be positioned approximately 60 – 80 cms away from the clients body and at an angle of 90° for approximately 10 – 20 minutes. The client should not be left alone when the lamp is on.
