An example of when it is Friar Laurence’s fought is when he married off Romeo and Juliet. This is what Friar Laurence tells Romeo: “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; For this alliance may so happy prove, To turn your households rancor to pure love”( Line two, Act two, Scene six, and document C),the person one would blame in this quote would be Friar Laurence. What Friar Laurence is saying to Romeo is that he is not marrying him and Juliet together for the sake of love, instead he is marrying them for the sake of stopping the family feud. One other example of the blame going towards Friar Laurence is when he gives Juliet the drug to make her fall asleep for several days. If he had not given Juliet the drug to fall asleep for several days then there is a chance Romeo and Juliet could have survived. Also Friar Laurence was not quick enough to get to tell him of Juliet’s situation. What Friar Laurence said was: “Unhappy fortune! By my brotherhood, The letter was not nice but full of charge. Of dear import, and the neglecting it. May do such danger…”(Line three, Act five, Scene three, Document E), the person would would blAme in this quote would be Friar Laurence. As one can see, Friar Laurence does not make very rational decisions, this gets him into a tremendous amount of trouble by the end of the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. If Friar Laurence were to have stopped Juliet from taking the dagger away from Romeo then he could have left with Juliet and kept her from killing
