• Developing countries are trying to find ways of producing clean, affordable electricity for their growing populations. One of the most effective ways to do this is to use hydroelectricity, which produces immense amounts of electricity by using power generated by falling water. While this can be an excellent form of renewable energy, they clear land in the Amazon rainforest to build these machines.

We can help save the rainforest by not using or buying furniture made from wood from the Amazon rainforest. We must stop cutting down trees from the Amazon rainforest as it’s our only chance of survival. There are not many rainforests left on the earth. Logging companies are cutting down a large amount of trees in the rainforest to make wood and paper products such as office paper, phone books, toilet paper, and furniture.
